If you are currently NOT doing a home based business, let me give you some things to think about…
I get to stay home and spend time with my family.
I’m never in a hurry anymore. I don’t have to worry about being late to work. About what the traffic is like. I get up and start working when I feel like it. I work for as long as I feel like it and I take breaks whenever I want to.
I never have to worry about going to work and finding out that I’m being laid off or fired.
I never ever have to deal with someone looking over my shoulder or telling me when I can go to lunch or even go to the bathroom.
I rarely ever look at the clock.
The economy right now has no ill effect on me. In fact, the worse the economy is the more money I make.
I have no problem paying $4 a gallon to fill up my gas tank because I work from home so a full tank lasts forever. That’s also why I don’t care if I drive a gas guzzler like my Hummer H2.
I get to take my wife on 2, 3 or 4 exotic vacations a year and stay gone for as long as I want and never worry about missing out on income.
If I get the urge to go see a new movie that just came out or to go fishing for a few hours, I just do it.
It doesn’t matter what time of the day it is or what day of the week it is. In fact, most of the time I couldn’t even tell you what day of the week it is.
I forgot what TGIF stands for.
I don’t remember what it’s like to live from paycheck to paycheck anymore.
I don’t worry about emergency expenses setting me way back anymore. If something unexpected happens like major car trouble, I just pay for it and don’t get all stressed out about it because the money is always there.
Do you have kids?
Wouldn’t you love knowing that you will never miss another one of your child’s events again? If your 3 year old brings you his box of Legos and wants to build something, no matter what time it is, you can sit down on the floor and build something with him.
Society has brainwashed us into believing that the only right choice is to go to school for 16-20 years of our life… then go to work for someone else for 40 years and maybe, just maybe we will be debt free and actually have a pension to live on.
Well, don’t believe the lies.
Here are some truths…
Less than 4% of all Americans retire with all their assets paid off.
The average 401k balance for 65 year olds is only $25,000 [~ Forbes]
“We will witness millions of elderly Americans, the Baby Boomers and others, slipping into poverty. Too frail to work, too poor to retire will become the ‘new normal’ for many elderly Americans.”
And this is just America! Americans are much more fortunate that most other countries.
Why do you think more than half a million Americans turn to home based businesses every year? And that too is just in America. Worldwide the numbers are much greater.
The average family income, according to BusinessWeek.com, for self employed people working exclusively from home is $17,000-20,000 higher than the national median.
The home based business industry is responsible for creating approximately 14% of all Millionaires worldwide.
But wait! There’s more…
People who work from home spend far less time and money on travel expenses.
People who work from home get sick significantly less often.
People who work from home are statistically 63% more productive than people in a JOB environment.
Most people start off part time until they earn enough to comfortably quit their job. Or as I like to put it… Fire their boss.
Personally, I was laid off back in 2001 and couldn’t find a job within a 200 mile radius and that’s when I turned to the Internet. I have never looked back since and I will never, ever work for someone else again.
It doesn’t matter how old you are. What matters is that you take action right now so you don’t become another statistic. At least not THAT kind of statistic.
I saved the best part for last…
